The first season had a gripping narrative force rooted in the Ultron-Watcher storyline that provided a satisfying conclusion. The second season didn’t have the same overarching storyline as the episodes felt much more disconnected from each other. I really enjoyed some of the episodes, especially the first one where Nebula joins the Nova Corps, as I felt it gave off a very punk sci-fi feel that I really liked. I also liked the episode with Hela and the 10 rings. I thought it did a good job of mimicking the plot of the first Thor movie, but with Hela as the main character. I appreciated a lot of the action in the second season, but the pacing in both seasons is just fast. This is understandable since they try to pack the entire story into the 30 minutes it takes to start. That being said, the pacing is so fast that the show doesn’t really give you a chance to breathe and soak in the different story beats… especially the dramatic ones. Overall, I felt like the second season was a bit more boring than I expected. The first season had a rating of 8, but after finishing the second season, I’ll be lowering the overall rating of the series to 7.
